Inspired by Leo, the artwork reflects the desire to be seen and the journey toward self-acceptance. At the center of the composition, a lion stands with its head held high, symbolizing confidence, visibility, and self-expression. Within its mind appears a crowd of spectators, representing the imagined gaze of others—the expectations, judgments, and voices that often influence how we perceive ourselves.
Rays of sunlight filter through openings in the lion’s head, creating a visual passage between external attention and inner understanding. Rather than depicting recognition as something purely positive or negative, the work explores the complex relationship between self-worth and the desire for validation. The imagery suggests a gradual shift from seeking approval from the outside world to discovering confidence from within.
