If I Were an Aquarius
This work is part of the Stardust Journey series, which explores identity, memory, and self-discovery through digital collage and mixed media.
Inspired by Aquarius, the artwork reflects a curiosity that reaches beyond immediate reality in search of deeper understanding. An eagle observes from above while satellites and lighthouses extend across vast distances, symbolizing the desire to seek connection, knowledge, and meaning beyond oneself.
At the center of the composition, three versions of the self are stitched together within a single body. Rather than representing separate identities, they reveal the different emotions, thoughts, and perspectives that coexist within one person. The stitched forms suggest an ongoing process of integration, where contradictions and differences become part of a unified self.
Soft blue linen fabric, together with pink and yellow nebulae, creates a dreamlike space between reality and imagination. Within this landscape, distance becomes both physical and psychological—a reflection of the gap between who we are and who we are becoming. The work invites viewers to consider whether the answers they seek in the outside world may already exist within themselves.
